Cat Fabrication (Part One)

As part of the new exhaust system I need a solution for the catalytic convertor, when the car is running on track I can use the de-cat pipe. Obviously when the car is being driven on the Queen’s highway it needs the emissions kept under control. Rather than fit a very expensive high flow racing cat (which allegedly aren’t terribly robust) for a limited amount of time I’ve decided to modify the existing part from the stock manifold.

The pipe containing the O2 sensor boss will need to be moved slightly to cope with the slightly different position of the Janspeed manifold and then the new flanges welded on. The de-cat pipe is pictured above along with the partially modified stock cat for comparison.
